Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes of body composition, serum lipoproteins, apolipoprotein and lipoprotein lipase after 12weeks aerobic training. Subjects were composed of fourteen obese women without regular exercise habit. O2max was determined for each subjects by administering a treadmill exercise test. The exercise intensity are decided by regression equations between %HRmax and speed(m/min). Subjects were trained during 12weeks(50%HRmax, 4 frequencies/week, 1hour/day). Paired t-test was used to evaluate the difference of the pre and post training. The 0.05 level of significance was as critical level for this study. The result of this study after 12 weeks aerobic training are as follows ; 1. Weight, %fat and fat were decreased and LBM was increased. 2. Systolic blood pressure and Diastolic blood pressure were decreased. 3. TC, TG, FFA and LDL-C were decreased and HDL-C was increased. 4. Apo A-I and C-II were increased and Apo B was decreased. 5. Lipoprotein lipase was increased. In conclusions, aerobic training was shown to positive influence on body composition, serum lipoproteins, apolipoprotein and lipoprotein lipase and so it may help to prevent cardiovascular disease in obese elderly women.
